Why I like Boxing

Boxing is one of the few exercises that can actually get you in better shape and it allows you to work on a skill that people have always been in awe of. You can get faster on a treadmill, but you don’t really work on a skill. With boxing, you are working out and getting visible results, but at the same time learning a skill such as a new combo, which can’t be replicated by any other workout.

I have been boxing for 10 years, am CPR/AED and First Aid certified and am AFAA certified. 

 

Why I Like Boxing:
I wanted a workout that challenged me physically and mentally. It's a sport that makes me feel confident and strong. You don't ever have to use the skills in real life, but I know I can if I need to :)

SEAN COLLINS - TRAINER

I began working out at 11 years old and haven't stopped since.

 

Bragging Rights:
I am a certified boxing fitness instructor under the auspices of both Box N' Burn Academy (Level 1 & 2) and the Boxing  CPR/AED trained. I am also certified in Personal Training with the American Sports & Fitness Association.

Why I Like Boxing: 
Boxing makes me sweat like nobody’s business. I understand that there is a wide range of fitness abilities that are age and experience based. I tailor your workout to meet you where you are in fitness and age

DANIELLA DiMARCO - TRAINER

Why I like Boxing

I started boxing because I really wanted a workout that would challenge and push me. I wanted something that I could do that I would never get bored of doing. Each workout everyday is challenging and pushes me to new limits every time. There is always something to improve and a next level to reach in boxing and I am always striving for that next level. I love boxing because it challenges and motivates me to be strong and active and to push myself.

 Group youth classes and private youth group classes. I also work parties!

After taking my class I want people to feel empowered, strong, confident, happy, and excited to look forward to the next meeting!

DONALD GRUPSKI - TRAINER

I ran competitive track in college and after college for a year.

I spend my free time at the beach surfing and hanging out with friends. I have a criminal justice and computer science degree and love working out in my free time. I am also CRP, AED and Basic Life Saving certified. 

 

Why I like Boxing

After I stopped running track I wanted to start another individual competitive sport that had the same cardio vascular results, and boxing fit that description perfectly.

Group adult and kids classes along with privates for all ages.

SARINA ZARNIGHIAN - TRAINER

I swam competitively when I was younger, and have worked with people with disabilities in an adaptive surfing event the last 2 years.

- I'm working on my Pilates mat certification 

- I'm certified rock steady boxing instructor

- I'm CPR, BLS, advanced life support certified 

Why I Like Boxing

I started boxing 7 years ago when I started college. I was an athlete all throughout my childhood into high school and I wanted another sport that I could get better at and challenged me like gymnastics did. I love how you can constantly get better, learn more skills and release any stress you have!

Fun Fact About Me:

Despite my appearance, you might be surprised to learn that when I'm not training or working, I'm home either studying or indulging in a good book. 

Bragging Rights:

I've had the honor of participating in several fights in Muay Thai, kickboxing and amateur boxing. I've competed in Germany and trained in Thailand which has shaped me both as an athlete and as a person. I've also earned a scholarship at the National University in my country, achieving 4th place nationwide!

Why I Like Boxing

Boxing is a beautiful display of controlled movement and intelligence. Contrary to popular belief, it's not all about brute force...it's the science of hitting without being hit. Personally, boxing has helped me overcome tough challenges as a youngster and brought me closer to academics, science, discipline and focus. It's a sport promoting respect and sportsmanship.

I met my wife at a fitness class in Long Island City.

I am a qualified life coach and ski/snowboard instructor. I have also competed in these different events...

- Hyrox: Top 10 for my age group

- Spartan Race: Placed in top 50 out of 4,500 people (all ages)

- NYC Marathon, Tough Mudder, Rugged Maniac and various 5K, 10K and Half Marathons. 

- I have visited over 150 different fitness studios around the world.

Why I Like Boxing

I have been boxing for over 15 years. Boxing is the ultimate sport for mind and body. If you're fit enough to box, you're fit enough to face any battle in life.
